November 01, 2011
Carleton-Willard At Home announced the appointment of Winchester resident John F. Reno to its Board of Trustees. At Home, a membership organization that enables residents of Bedford, Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, Lexington and Winchester to stay independent and safe in their homes as they grow older, is a subsidiary of not-for-profit Carleton-Willard Homes, Inc., which owns and manages Carleton-Willard Village, the oldest and one of the most respected providers of continuing care retirement services in Massachusetts. At Home is an innovative alternative to living in a retirement community. Mr. Reno said, “Being on the board of At Home gives me a chance to participate with a diverse group of capable and interesting people who are all committed to and recognize the value of the At Home program. It offers a unique way to help older people who want to stay in their own homes by simplifying many of the day to day issues and allowing them to continue to enjoy their homes and community.”
John F. Reno retired after a 25-year career with Dynatech Corporation, a manufacturer of electronic microprocessor-based equipment, instruments and systems, most recently serving as CEO and Director. He is a Trustee of the Boston Museum of Science (former Chairman of the Board of Trustees) and WGBH Broadcasting, and is a Director of Nelson Irrigation, Longitude Health and the Reno Family Charitable Foundation. Jack is also retired as a Director of the Millipore Corporation and Winchester Hospital. He is the founder of “A Better Chance”, a program for disadvantaged youths in Winchester.
